Trump’s Second Indictment: Are We Heading To An American Armageddon?

The most despicable American president of our era, Donald Trump, will reportedly, officially Tuesday, be indicted a second time for his obstructive behavior and mishandling of classified documents. But as Trump’s legal woes multiply towards accountability this treacherous citizen becomes more of a danger to the national security of the nation.

In fact, we must now ask ourselves this troubling question: is this divisive conniving criminal leading the country to a conflict that will be extremely destructive for American democracy?

On Thursday evening, Trump relayed the news that he was informed he would be indicted for taking classified documents to his Florida Mar-a-Lago residence. Reportedly, he will be indicted on seven charges. Trump not only took these classified documents but apparently engaged in obstruction when he was told to return them.

Why did Trump take these documents in the first place?

Some have postulated, given Trump’s greed, that he could not be trusted with these documents. Trump talked about “draining the swamp,” but turned out to be the ultimate swamp-rat. Would someone like Trump sell American secrets to foreign countries? Can any honest American say Trump is too patriotic to ever do such a thing?

Among the many things Trump has undermined in America is the rule of law. He has continually conducted himself like he is above the law.

As president, Trump obviously perpetrated numerous criminal acts. But let’s focus on the two that led to him becoming the first American president to be impeached twice.

Trump was first impeached after he sought to corrupt Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an attempt to create falsified “evidence” to use against Joe Biden, who he correctly feared would beat him in the 2020 Election. After losing the 2020 Election, Trump engaged in seditious conduct by inflaming and encouraging his MAGA mob supporters to storm the U.S. Capitol, on Jan. 6, 2021, in his attempt to cling to presidential power.

No regard was given to the fact that the lives of Congressional lawmakers were in real jeopardy. Trump was even willing to sacrifice Mike Pence, and other Republicans.

Remember the “hang Mike Pence” chants?

Unfortunately, many of the same Republicans who were fleeing for their lives on Jan. 6, with Democrats, obstructed the second impeachment proceedings and voted to acquit this traitor to America. So much for the GOP being a party of “law and order.” So much for Republicans “putting country before party.”

The ultimate danger of Trump became clear after the Jan. 6 MAGA coup attempt, including to Republicans who were made to understand that Trump will feed them to his wolves if it serves his political purpose. This is a primary reason why the vast majority of them are afraid to speak the truth about Trump’s criminality.

Some of us will recall, when Trump said this: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK? It’s, like, incredible.”

What kind of human says such a thing? Was this not Trump reveling in the fact that he could commit criminal acts and be supported by the racist Republican base? Is this not what was on his mind when he told the MAGA faithful, before they stormed the Capitol, that, “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

In recent years, America has been told, by the FBI, that the greatest threat to America’s national security is the white supremacist threat. We know Trump is supported by white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who were among the Capitol coup crowd.

Does anyone think Trump will not attempt to further weaponize these violent Second Amendment gun-toting fanatics as the long arm of the law continues to reach out for him?

The reality America must face is this: Donald Trump will do everything in his power to take America down as he is going down.

And so, as he faces other indictments, including the Georgia case where he is recorded trying to get Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” votes to overturn the 2020 vote outcome; or the ongoing probe regarding his seditious conduct on Jan 6.; Trump remains a “clear and present danger to America.”

Americans must deal with the fact that Donald Trump, with his back increasingly pressed to the wall, will not hesitate to inflame his MAGA mob to usher in an American Armageddon.

Update: Friday afternoon the Department of Justice publicly released a 49-page document containing 38 separate counts against Donald Trump.
