BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A longtime police sergeant has been placed on paid administrative leave after video showed him punching a woman in the face three times during an arrest that was the end result of a disagreement about extra cheese on a Big Mac.
According to the Dayton Daily News, Butler Twp. Sgt. Todd Stanley and officer Tim Zellers were called to a McDonald’s at about 4:20 p.m. Monday on a report of a disorderly customer. WHIO Channel 7 reports a caller told a 911 dispatcher that the customer was yelling at employees about a mistake in an order.
The customer, identified as Latinka Hancock, had asked for extra cheese on her hamburger and had returned to the restaurant to complain because she did not receive it, WDTN Channel 2 reports.
