Citing President Joe Biden’s public commitment to address long existing U.S. policies and structures that promote racism, a coalition of human rights\social justice organizations, today confirmed that a rally demanding the lifting of illegal sanctions against the Republic of Zimbabwe will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18th, 2021 at 11:00 am ET, at the United Nations.

The rally is a collaboration between the December 12th Movement organization and a network of other anti-racism groups, faith-based leaders and anti-imperialism coalitions. The street rally, which will be held at the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, will demand that President Biden immediately assert leadership that results in the lifting of the economic sanctions against the nation of Zimbabwe.

The groups contend that the economic roots of racism and exploitation, that serve as the basis of this policy against Zimbabwe, cannot be allowed to continue. The masses of Zimbabwean civilians have resoundingly said, “Zimbabwe will never be a colony again.”

Saturday’s march for the lifting of sanctions against Zimbabwe will start at 11:00 am ET at the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, at the United Nations.
