Stand Our Ground Community Empowerment Forum

Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

As a result of the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial for shooting to death Trayvon Martin, Black communities throughout the nation have begun to march and demonstrate demanding the justice that we feel was denied by the court.

Many have called for Florida Boycotts, calling on Black people to turn our $1 Trillion consumer spending into political power. Speaking at the NAACP convention last week, Attorney General Eric Holder said that in fighting back against unjust laws and policies, we must Stand Our Ground.

On Tuesday August 6, 2013 you are invited to join Rev. Calvin Butts, Bob Law, Bishop Gerald Seabrook, and others for a community forum to present a national plan of action.

How indeed do we stand our ground, and influence policy in this society?
