Win or Lose Release Date Revealed, Disney+ Premiere in 2025: Pixar’s Win or Lose Release Date: Announced. Win or Lose was announced during Disney’s Investor Day in 2020. Win or Lose is an eight-episode animated show Pixar is making for Disney+. Initially, the series was expected to be on Disney+ in Fall 2023. Pixar released the Win or Lose trailer a month ago, announcing the release date as December 6, 2024. However, a recent update from Disney reveals that the release has been pushed back.

What is Win or Lose About?
Win or Lose is Pixar’s first long-form original series. While announcing the series in 2020, Pete Docter, the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, said, “It’s not so much about softball as it is a comedy about love, rivalry, challenges, etc.”
Win or Lose is an eight-episode original animated series about a middle school softball team, Pickles. It follows the team as they prepare for a championship at the end of the week. Each episode is from the point of view of a team member, as well as their feelings and understanding of the task at hand. It includes their parents, too, helicoptering their way around, marshaling their wards, an umpire, who is reportedly lovesick, and, of course, the man who has to help them maneuver their way through – Coach Dan. Will Forte is voicing coach Dan.
The Inspiration for Win or Lose
Writers, Executive Producers, and Directors of the show, Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, developed the idea for this show while working together on Toy Story 4. While discussing team meetings, they found that they had different perspectives and outlooks on the same points in the meeting. These creative differences allowed them to develop this idea further, which is how Win or Lose was born. The show talks about how things are not always as they may seem; each individual has different takeaways from the same situation depending on their experiences or life situations. Individual perspectives can color the outcomes significantly. David Lally is the producer of the show.

The series promises to be emotional, funny, and nuanced. “ Vanessa: The Cool Mom” is the first episode in the series. Audiences got a sneak peek into the episode at the Annecy International Film Festival, 2023. It was about Vanessa, a single mom of one of the Pickles players, and how she navigates her life. Reports say that it has the Disney stamp of being moving and funny. The initial feedback bodes well for this series, and we hope this show is not further delayed.
