US-based Reggae singer Sun Shade, born in Montego Bay Jamaica, tackles the subject of global materialism and putting money over people in his recently released visual for his song “Money Over Life.”
In the song, Sun Shade sings of the plague of problems that is caused by global materialism including: world-wide political protests, human trafficking, racial strife, war, climate change, police violence, and poverty.
On his website bio page, Sun Shade says he was: “profoundly influenced by the likes of Sanchez, Maxi Priest, Dennis Brown, Phil Collins, Alton Ellis, and has shared the stage with the likes of Beenie Man, Baby Cham, Wayne Wonder, Mr. Vegas, Terror Fabulous and Jr Reid just to name a few. He has vocalized many of these artists and now hopes to emerge as his own unique artist by performing his original songs.”
