The Nigerian army has arrested two soldiers following the circulation of a viral video depicting them allegedly torturing a civilian.
In the footage, a man in military attire and another in civilian clothing are seen kicking and whipping a shirtless man who pleads for mercy.
The army expressed “utmost dismay” over the “unprofessional conduct” displayed in the video and confirmed the identification and arrest of the involved soldiers.
