Owner of Kush Roots, Davide Tanzi a.k.a Zemede Alemayehu, believes that fashion should be more than just an accessory – it should be an expression of who you are and what you stand for.
Davide was born in Ethiopia during the civil war in the 1970’s. His siblings and his father left the country for Italy but his mother stayed behind. When he went back to visit he was moved to tears by the 2,3, and 4-year-old children who ran up to his taxi begging for bread. Some of them were without a mother or a father. He knew that he had to do something.
Kush Roots is a clothing brand with a mission to inspire, empower, and remind generations to come of a rich history and beautiful vibrant culture. As part of their philanthropic mission, the company will donate to charities that support children in Ethiopia. Their goal is to create stylish and original clothes that honor the rich history of Ethiopia and Africa.
Founded in 2021, this brand aims to bring a sense of pride through its unique logo designs, t-shirts, and other products.
