Great White scored its first commercial success with the release of their third album in 1987, ‘Once Bitten,’ featuring the hit single “Rock Me.” The group’s fourth album, ‘Twice Shy,’ was released in 1989, and its biggest hit was the title track, a cover of Ian Hunter’s “Cleveland Rocks.” Another Germ production featured a cover of the hit single by Hunter/Mick Ronson, “When the World Gets Small.” A large part of their success was due to Jack Russell’s great voice.
