Brooklyn, NY — [September 9] — Gallery Particulier is thrilled to announce the opening of Body Positivity – Gender Euphoria, curated by acclaimed curator and cultural icon Racquel Chevremont, on October 1 at 6:00 PM at 281 Maple Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Originally envisioned as a single exhibition, Body Positivity – Gender Euphoria has been expanded into two parts due to the extraordinary response from artists—an outpouring of submissions that speaks to Chevremont’s influence and reputation for championing bold, uncompromising work.

The opening exhibition will feature four outstanding artists:

  • German Vazquez — a celebrated painter with works held in numerous collections, known for his fearless depictions of the human form.
  • Sophia Sanders — a multidisciplinary artist whose practice engages body, spirit, and community, with widely collected and exhibited works.
  • Ruben Natal San Miguel — an internationally recognized photographer whose portraits of contemporary life have become iconic.
  • Noah Bassman — an emerging talent whose poetic imagination and painterly skill make them one of the most exciting young artists to watch.

Body Positivity – Gender Euphoria celebrates the joy of embodiment, the beauty of queer expression, and the liberating power of self-representation. By bringing together established artists with global recognition alongside new voices at the beginning of their careers, the exhibition underscores the richness and range of queer creativity today.

“Curating this exhibition has been a deeply affirming process,” says Chevremont. “The works in this show embody strength, vulnerability, and joy—and together they remind us how vital it is to see and celebrate ourselves fully represented.”

With this exhibition, Gallery Particulier continues its mission to break ground as one of Brooklyn’s most innovative cultural organizations—bringing world-class art into the heart of community life and amplifying the voices shaping our future.
