“My friend Kevin Parker is built to lead,” said Congresswoman Yvette Clarke. “His unique qualifications make him well-suited to excel as our next Comptroller, starting day one. Senator Parker has received two of the most endorsements in New York: the Progressive Democrats Political Association of Central Brooklyn and its founder, my mother Una S.T. Clarke.”

Congresswoman Clarke added, “His record speaks for itself. Kevin is committed to advancing and fortifying our shared progressive values, and will continue his track record as a beacon for innovation and leadership in New York City. In the Comptroller’s race, he is the right man for the job. But don’t take my word for it: just ask my mother.”

In explaining her endorsement, Council candidate Nikki Lucas said, “Kevin Parker has a proven record of passing important legislation ranging from police reform to clean energy to cannabis legalization, which will grow and diversify our economy. Kevin is the right person to be Comptroller of New York City because of his understanding and experience in government and his commitment to equity when it comes to the distribution of resources in communities that have been shortchanged for years.”

“The amount of support and recognition I am receiving from colleagues, candidates, clergy, and political clubs means the world to me,” Senator Parker said. “I have always put the people first and done what’s right for them, because it’s the people that make this great city thrive, and as Comptroller I will advance Economic Justice for All New Yorkers.”
