The Black Alliance Economic Alliance PAC yesterday endorsed six candidates for Congress including former New York educator and combat veteran Jackie Gordon (above) and lawyer Mondaire Jones.

Thursday, the Black Economic Alliance PAC (BEA PAC), a nonpartisan group of business leaders that supports candidates who emphasize improved economic conditions for Black people, has endorsed a new class of candidates seeking to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The BEA PAC endorses the following candidates for election to the U.S. House of Representatives: Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07), Jackie Gordon (NY-02), Mondaire Jones (NY-17), Deborah Ross (NC-02), Marilyn Strickland (WA-10), and Cameron Webb (VA-05).

“The objective in this year’s election is clear: we need candidates who will fight for the best interests of Black Americans and work to close the Black wealth gap and build an inclusive economy by investing in Black people and communities,” said David Clunie, Executive Director, Black Economic Alliance. “The Black Economic Alliance PAC supports these qualified candidates for their commitment to tackling the issues that have adversely impacted Black communities, from the opportunity gap to the limited access to capital that continues to plague the Black community. These candidates exemplify the values and kind of leadership we need in Congress to help break the barriers that have persistently blocked economic mobility for Black Americans.”

BEA PAC is nonpartisan and works to engage candidates who prioritize policies that improve work, wages, and wealth for Black people.

BEA PAC focuses its support and resources on candidates in highly competitive races where Black voter turnout will have a significant impact on the outcome of the race.
