Tiger Woods is still the world’s number one golfer, ranking or no ranking. Woods is a little upset that his good buddy Mark O’Meara didn’t get named to be captain of the 2006 Ryder Cup. Seems the snub could be due to O’Meara (along with Woods, Phil Mickelson and David DuVal) who back in 1999 pressured the PBA Into donating a share of their profits to a charity of each player’s choice.

Byrd Flies As Rahman Rocks
At the pre-fight press conference Hasim Rahman said “ I will be the best heavyweight fighter on the card� He also told the media they could go home after his bout because he was going to put on a performance better then anyone fighting that night. Hasim “The Rock� Rahman backed his words up the way he backed Kali Meehan up, destroying the newcomer Meehan in four rounds.

New York Giants football season slipping away. After the win over Giants Sunday, Cardinals head coach, Dennis Green, now has victory number 101. The New York Jets aren’t returning home until Dec. 5th. The season will be determined on this two-game road trip. Time is working against Jets last two weeks. First end goal on the four with 50 seconds and down by three, Jets should have gotten into the end zone or at least taken better shots to attempt to do so. November is usually a good month for Jets head coach Herman Edwards.

Last Sunday the New York Jets and the New York Giants took losses. While the Pittsburgh Steelers snatched the Eagles out of the air as the undefeated. Former Minnesota Vikings head coach, now head coach of the Arizona Cardinals Dennis Green, won the 100th game of his career and as a head coach in the NFL.
Jets 4-0 After Buffalo Victory
Abraham finished the game with three sacks—the first came in the first quarter, knocking them out of field goal range and forcing Buffalo to punt. The second came in the second quarter with the clock winding down, forcing another punt, where the Jets steam rolled downfield, and then scored on a 37-yard Doug Brien field goal with three seconds remaining. “He (Bledsoe) was my first career sack, so playing against him is always fun,� Abraham said. “I tried to come out here today and play my best.�
MSG Madhouse As WWE Entertain
Madison Square Garden was a madhouse October 4 when The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) was in town. The Wrestling legends on hand included Randy Orton a.k.a “The Legend Killer,� Shawn Michaels, a.k.a HBK, or Heart Brake Kid, Triple H, a.k.a “The Game.� The WWE Divas on hand were Victoria, Stacy Keibler, Molly Holly, Nidia, and Ivory.
Hampton Prevails Over Morgan State
The Pirates went long on their first play from scrimmage when Princeton Shepherd connected with Jerome Mathis for a 65-yard touchdown pass. On the ensuing possession MSU turned the ball over on its second play when Bradshaw Littlejohn’s pass was picked-off by LB Justin Durant at the Bears’ 27-yard line. The Bears’ defense stiffened and held the Pirates to a Andrew Paterini field goal to help his team take a 9-0 lead with 10:20 remaining in the first quarter.
Felix “Tito� Trinidad Destroys Mayorga
After he disposed of Ricardo Mayorga with an eighth-round knockout to conclude a rousing return to the ring Saturday night, Trinidad climbed the ring ropes and did the same thing. And Madison Square Garden, the Puerto Rican star’s home away from home, seemed to shake. "I came back to win," Trinidad said after he pummeled Mayorga in the eighth round, knocking him down three times before the fight was stopped with 21 seconds to go in the round. "Before this fight, there were a lot of doubts. "I told [promoter Don King] I could win and I did it."
