Notable Contestants
Some contestants in this year’s Top 24 have already made a name for themselves. Canaan James Hill, a 17-year-old, impressed the judges with his gospel performance. His audition earned him a platinum ticket. Also, other platinum ticket winners, Filo and Kolbi Jordan, are part of the Top 24.

The Next Phase of Competition
With the top 24 confirmed, the competition moves to a new location. The next episodes will take place at Aulani. This is a Disney resort and spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii. Also, this location has been shown in previous seasons and adds a special touch to the competition. Luke Bryan expressed excitement about going back to Hawaii. Thunderstorm Artis was born here. He also showed excitement about going back home.
Two Nights of Performance
The Top 24 round will occur over two nights. The first episode airs on Sunday, April 13. During this episode, half of the contestants will perform. This group will receive mentorship from singer Ashanti. The second episode airs on Monday, April 14. The other 12 singers will perform in this episode. They will be mentored by Josh Groban.
Moreover, these guest mentors will help guide the contestants and prepare them for the show. Country star Jelly Roll is the show’s first “artist” in residence. He will also support the contestants during this round. Thus, his experience will provide additional insight as they navigate the competition.

How To Vote
For the first time this season, viewers can vote for their favorite contestants. Voting for the top 24 begins with the April 13 episode. Also, the first voting window starts at the beginning of the East Coast broadcast. It ends at 4 a.m. MDT on April 14. The second voting window opens with the April 14 episode. It closes at 4 a.m. MDT on April 15.
Fans can vote in three different ways. Firstly, they can vote online. They can visit idolvote.abc.com and create an account to vote. Also, they can download the app from the App Store or Google Play to cast votes. During each episode, contestants will have specific numbers that viewers can text to 21523. Each voter can submit up to 10 votes per method for their favorite contestants.
