The most awaited show Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 17 premiered on 3rd January 2025 and people were highly curious to see what was going to happen next. First challenge of the show
The creators of the show were inspired by the Squid Games series to create a game called Ru Light, Green Light. They had to stop moving when the lights turned red and move really fast when it turned green. The real challenge was to test the queen’s ability to stay focused under high pressure. The queens successfully completed the challenge. Lana Ja’Rae posed during the red light and won the minigame. The queens were shocked to find out they had been captured by the cameras.
The next challenge
The queens had to participate in a talent competition to earn their place in the next challenge. The researchers divided them into two groups ,and the non-performing group would rate the other group.
Furthermore, the next step will be lip-synced by the worst queen from each group, with one of them going home. Ru announces that the girls can choose which team they want to be in. This makes them extra excited. This shows that in the first two weeks, we will have two chances to see the girl’s capacity to handle challenges and stress.
Kori King takes the lead the following week and chooses to perform. Moreover, Many wanted to perform in the second week rather than the first. After a while, Lydia B. Kollins gives in and consents to perform during the first week. Many queens performed various kinds of acts with strategic planning.
Arrietty and Lana collaborated with each other so that they could rate each other the highest and support each other. On the other hand, Harmona Lisa wanted to perform in the same week as the other contestants, whom she had conflicts with. Joella performed for Katy Perry, who was the guest judge for the show. The performances were judged by RuPaul, Michelle Visages, Carson Kressley and Katy Perry.

Soon, both the queens selected were Suzie Toot and Jewels Sparkles. They treated everyone with a good performance at the talent show, and the audience really enjoyed it. The judges pronounced Suzie the winner for her comedic interpretation of the song “woman’s world,” winning her a cash prize of $5000. However, Acacia Forgot had the lowest rank.
