On Thursday, Feb 29, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm the New York organization Brooklyn For Peace (BFP) will be holding a Zoom Forum to address the ongoing genocide in Gaza being perpetrated by the right-wing government of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The primary speaker at the BFP Forum will Dr. Alice Rothchild.

Dr. Rothchild is an author, filmmaker, and physician, is focused on human rights and social justice. She has made many trips to Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, most recently in August 2023. She is a member of Jewish Voice for Peace Health Advisory Council, the mentor liaison for “We Are Not Numbers,” a program for young Gaza writers, and on the board of the Gaza Mental Health Foundation.

Among the questions which will be asked at the BFP Forum are:

What has been the impact of the War on Gaza on Healthcare and Human Rights:

What was the state of health care in Gaza before the October assault?

What is the impact on civilians of the massive bombing and dislocation of Gaza?

What is International Human Rights law, and has it been violated?

Have war crimes been committed?

Has the war reached the level of genocide?

What can we do?
