New York, New York–The Entertainers For Education Alliance- I WILL GRADUATE Program has supported inner city youth to achieve and strive for educational excellence for the past two decades. Starting from humble beginnings and housed in the heart of Bedford Stuyvesant, this NYC award winning organization continues to impact the lives of students and service the community. Combining college and career guidance art, music, stem, sports and educational empowerment, they have built an empire dedicated to helping students and families to reach their fullest potential.
On Monday, October 23rd, 2023 from 5:30pm-9pm they will host a private screening for the upcoming release of Gladiators of Education: The Making of I WILL GRADUATE DAY documentary premiere. Located at the SVA Theater – 333 West 23rd st, New York, NY 10001. Doors open at 5:15. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm. Red Carpet arrivals begin at 6:00pm sharp!
The I WILL GRADUATE Program’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence has garnered significant recognition. Esteemed accolades include the Proclamations from the mayor and governor of NYC declaring I WILL GRADUATE Day for the city and state of New York, New York State Education Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Partnerships, the National Dropout Prevention Center’s Exemplary Program Award, and the New York City Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Afterschool Education and Youth Development. Such awards underline the program’s profound influence and its pivotal role in championing education in New York City.
I WILL GRADUATE Day is the organization’s annual celebration of education. Last year thousands of New York City students poured into Barclays Center for an all-star celebration. Gladiators of Education: The Making of I WILL GRADUATE Day documentary chronicles the remarkable journey of this Brooklyn youth development agency as they demonstrate unwavering resilience and tireless efforts in producing New York City’s largest and most significant homegrown youth empowerment event, I WILL GRADUATE DAY NYC. This critically acclaimed documentary has won first place in the Los Angeles Film Awards, American Golden Picture International Film Festival, the Oniros Film Awards and is gaining momentum around the country with its inspirational message.
ABOUT I WILL GRADUATE DAY NYC: Since its inception in 2006, I WILL GRADUATE DAY NYC is the largest celebration of education spearheaded by educational/community leaders, celebrities, professional athletes, and high-profile executives. On that day schools across the city will engage in activities, events, workshops, and pep rallies to encourage students to take charge of their educational journey!
