Reportedly, Michael Hiller will today announce his intention of running against Congresswoman Yvette Clarke in  2020.

Today, social justice advocate Michael Hiller will join community leaders and members for a press conference at the Brooklyn Public Library Cortelyou Branch to announce his decision to run for Congress in Brooklyn’s 9th District, to introduce a new initiative “No-PACS Promise to the People” and to discuss incumbent Yvette D. Clarke’s failure of leadership and lack of accountability to the people she was elected to serve.

Michael Hiller has devoted his 25+ year career to serving the people of New York, where he has been fighting against the Trump Administration’s failed policies, politically connected real estate developers, pharmaceutical companies, environmental polluters, insurance companies, predatory lenders and other deep-pocketed special interest groups.

Unfortunately, under Yvette Clarke, New York’s 9th Congressional District remains one of the poorest in the entire state, according to recent census data. More than 15 percent of the population lives below the poverty line, unemployment is nearly four times the national rate at 12.7 percent and more than 52,000 still live without any health insurance coverage.

Today’s event will start at 12: PM at the Cortelyou Library 1305 Cortelyou Rd. at Argyle Rd, in Brooklyn.
