Yahoo!’s Internet Week 2010

Michelle Mitchell, Founder of The Phenomenal Women Group, Inc. with PrettyThoughtsofaHotChick.com and AngelintheCity.com will host a Bloggers’ Social entitled “New Media Mavens & Icons” Wednesday June 9th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm @ The Gates located at 290 Eight Avenue in Chelsea as their tribute to Internet Week.

Techies and media companies will converge at the Chelsea Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City June 7-14 for the third annual Internet Week and this year is the first time the conference will have a hub for exhibits and events, boosting attendance and the conference’s prominence.

Yahoo! will be the presenting sponsor and is hosting a free summit on Monday.

“We’ve got a great lineup of speakers, said the company’s According to Yahoo!’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mollie Spilman, a plethora of  decision-makers, developers and creatives have been collected for this unique conference to discuss how new innovations and technology are evolving in the digital media environment.

Presentations, panels, educational programs, parties and arts installations will be part of the festivities throughout the city, including the DM Buzz Party at ARENA bar in Midtown.

David-Michel Davies, Chairman of Internet Week, boasted 15,000 participants at Internet Week 2009, and they expect a larger crowd this year as a result of added attractions.

Companies including HP, PepsiCo, Microsoft Expression Studio, as well as business and entertainment leaders including, Roger Ebert, Lisa Kudrow, Martha Stewart and AOL’s Tim Armstrong will be among the hosts of the event.

Interactive Advertising Bureau will also give a presentation on the future of interactive advertising, and the Webby Awards will honor innovative Web sites.
