Wordle Answer Today
It’s a sunny Saturday, January 25, 2025, and I’m Doug. Every day, I dive into the world of Wordle, and today, we’re kicking things off with a nod to Kansas, thanks to my good friend Randy Atwood. Kansas is famous for its wheat, so we’re starting with that word. Unfortunately, the Wordle gods weren’t kind today, giving us all gray. However, sometimes that’s how things go wrong. Wheat was a solid word choice, Randy!
From Wheat to Flower: Trying New Waters
When all that wheat churning brings no result, it is time to turn around. Try the word “flower” next. This attempt allows us to test two of the remaining vowels. A little gamble but isn’t that what makes Wordle so exciting? This time we get only one letter, “R,” and in the wrong position. Not a bad beginning, though. See where this will take us.
New Possibilities: The Briny Way
Well, we’ve got the “R” in our pocket, and now it’s time to get creative. What’s the word “briny”? That gets me “I” and “Y” involved. Now, that sounds like two interesting letters to me. In addition, we have the chance to take a peek at “B” and “N.” This is a strong pick, even by my standards. Wheat, flower, and briny—the journey through Wordle is getting quite interesting.
And here we have it, people! We’ve got “R” and “I” in place. My theory regarding the vowel in the middle seems to be valid. Now we must look for consonants: we’re seeking two consonants before and two consonants after.
Crimp vs. Crisp: The Battle of the Consonants
Next, I was thinking “crimp.” We’ve not seen “S” yet, and boy, is that a strong consonant. Crimp sounds good. But no, it wasn’t crimp. Still, it was a hunch that whispered “crisp” all along. Sometimes you have to listen to those nasty little voices inside your head, especially when you’re hell-bent on proving a point.
The Sweet Taste of Success: Crisp is the Word
Ah, there it is—crisp. The answer was staring me right in the face, and somehow, I missed it. The mind works in funny ways, after all. The letter “S” was the answer, and I was singing its praises without quite realizing I needed it. Oh, well, we made it in.
Sometimes, Wordle is like that: logical and intuitive. A reminder of trust in those gut instincts. How did you do today? Let me know in the comments! Tomorrow we’ll be kicking things off with “grind” as a nod to this week’s challenges. See you then!
