He stated, “Sergeant Locke was an officer who courageously and honestly decided to fight for our country. She was also a daughter, sister, buddy, and warrior.” Her passing has caused a huge hole in our squad. We strive to offer care, assets, and encouragement to those affected throughout this trying time, even if words cannot make the sorrow go away.

Roque’s passing follows the vicious murder of Army Pfc. Katia Dueñas Aguilar, 23, at her residence close to Fort Campbell, Louisiana.

The autopsy report states that Dueñas sustained 68 knife wounds to her upper body and neck. Her death was determined to be a homicide due to injuries from sharp objects by an autopsy or a medical authority.
