The White House has come up with a defense after some reports drafted by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein had Trump’s name in it. These reports consist of hundreds of names, including Trump’s, which were for the Justice Department. Moreover, it has also been said that Attorney General Pam Bondi briefed Trump about this matter in May. In the discussion, it was clear that just because Trump’s name is in the documents doesn’t mean he is liable for a crime. On the rumors, a spokesperson from the White House has declared that the news is ‘fake’. Additionally, the public has built pressure on the Trump Administration to disclose some information about Epstein and his files. The situation has worsened as Trump and Epstein were friends before they grew apart in 2004.
While Trump stood for the elections last year, he made some promises, which included releasing some files on sex offenders. Now that these files are released, he has found his name in something he claims he never did. Moreover, Trump’s supporters are losing interest because they do not find the administration’s way of handling issues helpful. Regarding the list, it is declared that the FBI and Justice Department claimed a month ago that no such list exists.
What are the Epstein Files people are talking about?
Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide while he was locked up in New York’s prison cell in 2019. According to the sources, he was charged with the crime of sex trafficking and had a trial on this case. Moreover, he was convicted before this on account of forcing a minor into prostitution. All these charges made the case look bad, and he committed suicide before his trial date. Moreover, his suicide raised many conspiracies, including whether he was guilty or not.
Other than that, a judge declined the Justice Department’s request to reveal the court files on the Epstein case. This happened on Wednesday, when a Florida-based judge refused the Justice Department’s appeal. The same day, the US House of Representatives voted to summon the Justice Department to keep the issue on the table. However, this order has not been signed by the chairman and will not be enforced until signed.
Trump’s discussion with Attorney General Pam Bondi
In May, Trump was called upon by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who briefed him about the case in which his name was found. According to the file, many people, including Trump, were found on the list left by Epstein. However, Trump refused to accept these claims when a reporter asked him a month ago. This led to a contradiction to what the White House is claiming to be true.
According to the sources, several child pornography and victim details were mentioned in Epstein’s documents. However, the victims’ names are not to be disclosed for safety reasons. Therefore, Trump cannot be said guilty just because his name was mentioned in a list without proof. Trump never had anything to do with Epstein’s case earlier, and not even now, until proven guilty. A spokesperson of Trump, Steven Cheung, has regarded this as fake news, which is being spread to defame Trump.
More to the Epstein Files?
According to Reuters, someone in the White House has shared that it is not denied that Trump’s name appeared in the document. Moreover, he confirmed that the documents were opened by the Justice Department months ago, which has been brought up. The files included the contact numbers of several family members of Trump, which is quite intriguing.
To resolve this matter, Trump has directed the Attorney General to appeal for access to the court files on the Epstein case. However, the judge has refused their request, as it will violate the secrecy of matters between the juries. The case has revolved to the beginning of the investigation when Epstein was charged with forced prostitution of a minor. Moreover, Judge Rosenberg has also refused to shift this issue to New York, as the judges there are deciding whether to disclose the case or not.
As the investigation suggests, Ghislaine Maxwell is summoned to the court, who has been locked up after the Epstein case. She helped Epstein in his illegal activities, such as sex trafficking, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Maxwell will be brought in front of the body on August 11 for further interrogation.
Conclusion
As it appears, the Epstein case has a lot wrapped in lies and half-truths. To find the truth, Ghislaine Maxwell is summoned by the body for further interrogation. However, she can’t be fully trusted with her information, as Epstein’s crime partner. This case has questioned every single belief of the investigating body, as Epstein committed suicide, which can or cannot mean something more.
