“What About Her?” police brutality press conference\rally being held in New York today.

The Justice for Women Task Force, community leaders, advocates, and directly impacted women of color will raise awareness as they host a press conference and rally to honor the lives of the women who have died from police and correctional brutality.

The press conference and will take place on Friday, July 3rd, at 11 AM in Manhattan, Spring Valley, and East Meadow.

Their lives are just as important and of value despite the lack of media attention. Family members of Tina Davis and formerly incarcerated women will share their experiences.

The press conference and rally will at three locations in New York:

  • New York City: Governor Cuomo’s Office (633 3rd Avenue, NY, NY)
  • Rockland County: Memorial Park (Parking Lot) – Spring Valley, NY
  • Long Island: Nassau County Jail – East Meadow, NY

Organized groups who will be involved include: Justice for Women Task Force, Women’s Community Justice Association, A Little Bit of Light, Columbia’s Center for Justice, New Hour for Women and Children–LI, and Gender Equality New York
