Walmart Rolls Back DEI Policies Amid Growing Corporate Shift

The biggest firm Walmart in America has changed its DEI policy recently. The company has rolled back its Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies. Other major organizations like Ford, John Deere, and Toyota also halted their DEI policies. The number of companies ditching the Diversity, equity, and Inclusion policies is growing. Changes in Walmart DEI Policies

Walmart has stated that they will keep track of all the products in the marketplace. They also decided to review grants given to different organizations.

The company also declared that some of the products that don’t align with the new policy will be removed from the marketplace. One such product is a chest binder, which is a product that targets children.

The Walmart company confirmed that they will review funds given to different events. They want to ensure such community events are child-friendly. Walmart also stated that they will continue their funding for pride events.

The Walmart company also stated that it will stop the expansion of the Racial Equity Center established in 2020. The center was initially launched as a five-year program. The company also decided that they would remove terms like LatinX and DEI in their official documents.

Walmart also decided to terminate its participation in the human rights campaign corporate equality index. The above-mentioned index is an annual survey report to measure policy practices and benefits of LGBTQ+  communities.
