A vigil to honor George Floyd whose dying words were “I can’t breathe” will be held at the site of Eric Garner’s murder.

Today, Rev. Al Sharpton and National Action Network (NAN) will be joined by Eric Garner’s mother, Gwen Carr, community leaders and activists to hold a vigil at the site where Eric Garner was killed to call for justice for George Floyd.

The vigil will be held at 200 Bay St. in Staten Island. 1:00 PM EDT.

The vigil will honor George Floyd who uttered, “I can’t breathe” just as Eric Garner did six years ago.

At the 1-hr vigil, Rev. Sharpton will announce that he and Attorney Ben Crump and George Floyd’s family will officiate the funeral in Minneapolis and he will deliver George Floyd’s eulogy.
