Black Star News remembers Bob Marley on this first weekend of Black History Month 2022 with the documentary: “When Bob Marley Came To Britain.”

Iconic Reggae master musician Bob Marley made his transition from the earth on May 11, 1981 at the age of 36. Over forty years later, the man known as “Tuff Gong” still sells millions of recordings–and is known and loved around the globe, especially by the suffering masses.

This weekend Marley would’ve been 77 years old.

Here at the Black Star News, we remember this pioneering musical messenger, and Pan-African, with this documentary: “When Bob Marley Came To Britain” which explores the importance of Britain in helping to elevate Marley to the world stage as a superstar.

On the documentary, several famous Reggae personalities are featured including: Brinsley Forde, former lead singer for British Reggae super group Aswad; Locksley Gishie, of the Cimarons; Mykaell Riley, of Steel Pulse and Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra; Marcia Griffiths, of the I-Threes; and DJ, film historian and musician Don Letts to name a few.
