Nigerian superstar songwriter, singer and rapper Burna Boy has just released a visual for the song ’23’ from his Grammy award-winning album Twice As Tall.
The song is partly a homage to NBA Basketball great Michael Jordan, who wore the number 23 during much of his career with the Chicago Bulls. Burna Boy encourages the listener to pursue your dreams with the same relentless passion as Jordan.
In the song, Burna Boy says, “I go be all I can be” and “The music make me feel like I be Jordan.”
Reportedly, Burna Boy also wanted this visual to be a platform for underappreciated athletes and celebrities–and wanted it to be a commemoration of Women’s History Month, who are featured prominently throughout the video.
