The following statement is from Brandon Jones, director of SPLC Action Fund Political Campaigns:

“As the SPLC Action Fund continues mobilizing communities to exercise their right to vote, it is crucial that representatives at every level of government work towards our shared goals for equality.

“We know decision makers at the local level influence politics at the state and national levels. Most importantly, their choices directly impact Georgians’ daily lives, so it is a priority to elect candidates who understand and will strive to meet their needs.

“That is why we are endorsing this slate of 11 dynamic candidates for local offices. The SPLC Action Fund hopes to collaborate on civil rights issues that protect the quality of life of all Georgians. This includes equal funding for infrastructure and public schools, access to health care and safeguarding voting rights. Together, we can achieve these goals by creating a society where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

“The SPLC Action Fund will spare no efforts to create a world where all people can thrive. We believe these candidates can serve as strong partners to protect equal rights for all.”
