The UK Fighter Jet F-35B was sent back from India after a Month

On June 16, another incident occurred when a fifth-generation fighter jet faced a technical fault in its system. The British F-35B made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport, Kerala, which stayed on Indian soil for 4 weeks. This landing was necessary because the aircraft ran out of fuel in the middle of its routine exercises. Apart from that, the weather conditions were unfavorable for any airplane or jet to fly because of certain risks.

However, after the aircraft landed safely on the runway, the engineers found a lurking technical fault in the solid structure. The pilot was lucky enough to survive the crash, as the plane was not safe to operate anymore. Moreover, concerns were raised when the repairs fell into the hands of a country that was not a part of the F-35 program. The repairs took multiple attempts and several logistical tests; the aircraft was now in a condition to join the Strike Group in Australia.

Apart from this, the Indian Airport has charged the concerned authorities a day-wise amount for the parking of the unannounced jet. For a day in the soil of the Indian territory, the Airport has charged Rs 26,261 from the British authorities. If we calculate, a total of Rs 9.2 lakhs has been accumulated for 4 weeks of repairs and parking of the fifth-generation fighter jet.
