The Trump provoked violent insurrectionist action on Capitol Hill last Wednesday has seemingly claimed the life of a second police officer.

According, to news reports Officer Howard Liebengood, age 51 apparently committed suicide on Saturday.

The United States Capitol Police released the following press statement on this second death:

‘The United States Capitol Police is deeply saddened by the off-duty death on January 9, 2021, of Officer Howard Liebengood, age 51. He was assigned to the Senate Division, and has been with the Department since April 2005. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

“We ask that his family, and other USCP officers’ and their families’ privacy be respected during this profoundly difficult time.”

Capitol Police Union Chairman Gus Papathanasiou released the following after Liebengood’s death:

“Every Capitol Police Officer puts the security of others before their own safety and Officer Liebengood was an example of the selfless service that is the hallmark of USCP. This is a tragic day.”

Editor’s Note: Interestingly, all of those white Americans–like treasonous Trump–who were busy giving us speeches not long ago about “Blue Lives Matter” have somehow now lost their voices. Besides saying nothing about this latest death of Officer Liebengood, Trump has said not one solitary word regarding the murder of Officer Brian Sicknick–who was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher by Trump’s MAGA mob.

The suicide death of Officer Liebengood should not be seen as disconnected to Wednesday coup attempt. Libengood’s suicide is likely a despondent PTSD episode related to whatever horrors he witnessed.

Why is it that we aren’t hearing about the importance of protecting the lives of police officers now? Why is it alright for insurrectionist rioters to murder police? Why aren’t Republicans, and foul-mouth police union talking-heads, like Pat Lynch, denouncing the white supremacists who attacked these police officers at the Congress?

Is it because many police sympathize with these rioters traitors, so therefore Officer Liebengood and Officer Sicknick are just sacrificial lambs for the greater cause? Isn’t it because many of these police unions still support this seditious president?

The hypocrisy of those white Americans who were screaming “Blue Lives Matter” when Black America was protesting against racist police brutality and murder is being fully exposed right now by their loud silence after the death of these two police officers.
