The Founding Fathers believed that. In fact they even wrote in the U.S. Constitution. Section III reads: “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”
Treason is punishable by death- even in Vermont, where the death penitently is banned.
Instead of supporting President Obama response, Trump tweeted his support for Moscow over America- writing that “Putin is very smart!” on the same day.
That is treason too
Now the Senate Intelligence Committee is scheduled to hold hearings this week on the Trump 2016 campaign’s cooperation with the Kremlin to defeat Hillary Clinton. According to reports, the CIA believes that contact between the Trump campaign and Moscow did in fact occur throughout the campaign and afterwords.
Senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said on CBS This Morning on January 11, 2017 that Trump and Moscow’s commutations did not take place “when I took over in August.”
Someone with Trump’s level of intelligence can read between those lines.
Are we to believe that all the chatter between team Trump and the Kremlin does not correlate with Trump’s gushingly pro-Russian posture?
Meanwhile, as Trump praised Putin he attacked Rep. Lewis’s district calling “in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested).” It was a total lie and a vicious smear, but does that really matter when your Putin’s proxy-POTUS?
Even his White supremacist supporters are bailing out. No wonder Trump’s approval ratings is hovering at 37% (George W. Bush was at 62% the week of his inauguration in 2001).
