Colter’s Investigation

Colter meets Ivy at her bakery. She seemed to be worried about her son. She also shares that she had a fight with him before he disappeared. Ivy’s cousin, Casey, downplays her concerns. He tells Colter that Matt was planning a trip with coworkers. However, something felt off. Colter feels the need to go further into the case. Thus, he heads over to Matt’s workplace.

At the office, Colter charms the receptionist to reveal information about Matt. Also, she reveals that Matt has a girlfriend, Lucy. Thus, he learns that Lucy is tied up in difficult situations. She reveals that he was kidnapped by two people with Eastern European accents. This shocking revelation leads Colter to a hotel where Matt is hiding. However, the hotel workers act suspiciously. They do not welcome Colter inside.

The Big Reveal

The story takes a major turn when Colter encounters Lindo. This is a big mafia boss. Ivy’s cupcake business is merely a front for her crime empire. Lindo denies any involvement in Matt’s kidnapping. However, he sees Colter as a threat. Thus, the two enforcers tend to eliminate Colter. However, things do not go according to plan. Colter managed to turn one of the enforcers to his side. Then, they work together to rescue Matt.

As the episode continues, Colter continuously pulls his arms on everyone. Yet, he avoids killing anyone directly. This maintains his moral code. The decision adds layers and depth to his character. The action escalates when Ivy decides to pay a ransom for her son. However, before the drop-off, Casey betrays Ivy. Casey aims to take over her business. However, Colter arrives just in time to save Ivy from Casey’s betrayal. In a short time, Casey ends up electrocuting himself. This was while he was trying to attack Colter. This climax is comical. It adds a twist to the serious incidents so far.

Character Arcs

Colter stands out for his heroism throughout the episode. His aim is to protect, not to kill. The writers cleverly show his inner struggle with violence and compassion. However, his character shines through despite the darkness around him. He experiences moments of self-reflection. This shows that even in crime, not everyone is a villain.

Colter also develops connections with Renee. She plays a significant role in this episode. After the action, Colter and Renee share a beer by the river. Moreover, they discuss the events of the day. This meeting shows a subtle relationship building between the two.

Absence of Key Characters

Bobby is absent in episode 11. He is replaced by his cousin, Randy. Thus, Bobby’s absence raises concerns over the future of the show. Fans are worried that he may not return. This would be below Tracker. Also, Velma is missing from this episode. Tracker’s main characters being absent raises questions. This is important in a pivotal episode.

If all the original members of Team Tracker leave the show, it would mean issues behind the scenes. Thus, it would be disappointing for fans who have grown to like the series. The next episode, titled “Monster”, promises a spooky storyline. This is where a mother goes missing after tucking her son in. Thus, this kind of supernatural element aligns with some of the show’s best episodes. It also creates anticipation for the viewers and fans.
