Toronto: African Union To Celebrate Global Africa Day With Flag Raising Ceremony

(TORONTO, ON – May 19, 2023) – The African Unity Sixth Region Canada Foundation, in partnership with the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council, is pleased to announce a flag-raising ceremony on May 25, 2023, to commemorate Global Africa Day and the 60th Anniversary of the African Union.

The event will also celebrate the 11th Anniversary of the 6th Region Declaration, as declared on May 25, 2012, by the African Union Heads of State.

The flag-raising ceremony will include remarks from the Province of Ontario, MPPs, and City Councillors. There will be representation from the African, Caribbean, Central, and South American Diplomatic Corps and community and cooperate leaders.

Time: 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
