CEO and recording artist Tonya Lewis Taylor released her first book, “Be You, Not Her.”

A former background vocalist for Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey, and a former publicist for A-list artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pitbull, and Bow-Wow, Taylor turned her passion for youth, education, music and entertainment into the award-winning multi-million dollar I WILL GRADUATE Youth Development Agency and Entertainers 4 Education Alliance and founded NYC’s I WILL GRADUATE DAY annual city-wide celebration.

“Be You, Not Her” was birthed out of Taylor’s lifelong journey of self-discovery – a journey that allowed her to love and embrace her uniqueness and pass that knowledge and wisdom onto other women. It’s a guide for navigating life as a woman who has learned that everything you are – and every experience – is based on understanding how your unique gifts and talents fit into the world.

When asked about the release of “Be You, Not Her”, Taylor said, “I’m so excited for the release of my new book! I hope everyone who reads it feels inspired to embrace their unique talents and do what they have been created to do.”
