Every year, a few players on each team finally step up to their roles and do well. If a team doesn’t have one or two players who stand out every year, it says a lot about how good they are at choosing and developing players. Who might be the next considering that the Bucs have previously witnessed guys with those seasons including Jamel Dean and Vita Vea.
This is a big year for JTS, who was picked in the first round. After getting four sacks in a limited role as a rookie, the Bucs hoped that he would keep getting better with more chances and time on the field. He still only had four sacks in 2022, so that didn’t happen. Now, sacks aren’t everything for a pass rusher, and JTS was good at getting pressures, but he had trouble finishing tackles, and he probably could have had three or four more sacks if he could have just wrapped up the QB.
I haven’t broken up with him yet, but I have because of his demands. Although I can see why the squad and the supporters are frustrated with him right now, I believe that in 2023 he will finally succeed and I will be placing a wager on his performance by going on to bet on nfl games online for some nice returns in dollars. He was selected as a raw material that required some seasoning. Perhaps the Bucs will now enjoy the main meal while the previous two seasons served as the appetizers. I never considered Tryon-Shoyinka to be a guy who could regularly record more than ten sacks, but he ought to be able to do it with ease for eight. He must demonstrate that choosing him was a wise decision by doing this.
Hall was another player who definitely wasn’t done when they were chosen. This year, he was mostly a bench player who sometimes stood out but was mostly quiet. The Bucs picked Hall with the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 draft because they wanted a more athletic inside linebacker. Hall is a good athlete, but he didn’t do enough in his first season to make it worth it.
Hall has only played one season, so there’s no need to worry. However, since the Buccaneers haven’t re-signed veterans Will Gholston and Akiem Hicks so far, it looks like Hall will have a bigger part on defense this fall. Don’t be surprised if he gets out if he puts all the pieces together.
White has become a fan favorite and had a good first season, but there is still a lot more to see from him before we can say he is someone they should build around. White was so good in 2022 that he took snaps away from Leonard Fournette. The Bucs didn’t want to do this, but White made them do it.
Since Fournette is no longer on the team, Rachaad White is in charge of the backfield. White is a threat in any scheme because he can catch passes and run slowly at the same time. Since Doug Martin in 2015, the Buccaneers haven’t had a runner with 1,000 yards on the ground. White has a good chance of being the guy to do it again, eight years later.
The Bucs hope that these young players will step up and do well this season. The stars on this list are just some of the pieces that could affect the franchise’s present and future.
