Geno Smith, New York Jets rookie quarterback connected with receivers and used his legs in a 37-27 victory over the Oakland Raiders at MetLife Stadium Sunday.

Smith undoubtedly had success throwing the leather in the win against the Raiders; but he also had five carries for 50 yards and one touchdown, while completing the game going 16-25 for 219 yards.

He threw for a touchdown but also notched another interception. His rushing touchdown gave him four for the season and the honor of being the most by a rookie quarterback in the Jets’ franchise history.

Other than his legs, Smith connected with his three top receivers: Jerry Kerley, Santonio Holmes and Kellen Winslow.

Kerley played his first game since injuring his elbow against the New Orleans Saints the first week of November. He caught his third touchdown of the season and finished the game with 41 yards on four catches.

Holmes suffered time out on the injured list with a foot and hamstring injury. He caught a 32-yard pass and Winslow caught a 30-yard pass and finished the game with three receptions for a team high of 61 yards.
