The Black Family’s Guide To Healing Emotional Wounds: The Attacks Black Women Face Now

For many of us, the last few weeks have been emotionally draining. We have seen statistics stating that over 300,000 Black women have been pushed out of positions in corporate America. And over the last few days, we watched as people fully supported someone who challenged our intellect, labelled us as “moronic”, and gave the illusion that we have earned seats at the tables in which we have sat.

Let us not be discouraged by any of this. I’m here to share some great news:

  • Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S., starting new businesses at a higher rate than any other demographic.
  • In 2025, it was reported that Black women own 3.5 million businesses and generate over $60 billion in annual revenue.
  • Studies have shown that Black women are “a potent force” in community engagement and in driving economic growth, with their perseverance and resilience helping to create more inclusive spaces

We know who we are. Let us not be discouraged by the foolishness. We shall continue to press on.

I love you all!
