The short-term observers (STO) delegation will remain in Bissau until January 2, 2020, while the long- term Observers (LTO) and Core Team will stay in the country until January 5, 2020 to follow the management and proclamation of the election results.

For the 2019 inaugural edition of the African Union Continental Teacher Awards, prizes of $10 000 each were awarded to top African teachers at the secondary school level.
The following are the winners for 2019 edition: (1) Ms. Augusta Lartey-Young (Ghana); (2) Sister Gladyce Kachope (Uganda); and (3) Mr. Eric Ademba (Kenya).

Moussa Faki Mahamat, has approved the deployment of forty (40) short-term observers and 4 electoral experts from 9 October 2019 until the conclusion of the election process in Mozambique, following an invitation from the Government of Mozambique.
