[Burkina Faso\Terrorism]
Saturday’s terrorist acts follow two attacks which occured on Christmas and Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, 35 civilians and seven soldiers were killed in the village of Arbinda, in the northeast Soum territory along the border with Mali. This was followed by an attack on Christmas which killed eleven soldiers.

The Secretary‑General strongly condemns the attack conducted by unidentified gunmen on 24 December in Arbinda, Soum province, northern Burkina Faso. He expresses his deep condolences to the families of the victims.
