The Supreme Court ruled Friday that federal prosecutors overstepped by charging a former police officer who was part of the mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6th under an obstruction law.
The court also issued a ruling overturning a 40-year-old precedent, and sharply curtailing the power of federal agencies.
And in another decision, the court upheld an Oregon city’s ban on sleeping outdoors that affects homeless people.
Still left undecided is Trump’s claim of immunity in his federal election interference case, with that ruling now expected to come Monday.
