When Gi-hun is presented to the audience for the first time in Season 1, he is a divorced, Squid Game Season 3 characters struggling gambler who dies his way into Squid Game so that he can maintain a relationship with his estranged daughter Jo Ah-in. Gi-hun wins the original competition, only to be traumatized by his own Continue reading at the end of the chapter.
In Season 3, he is intent on destroying Squid Game by any means necessary, especially after the failed rebellion of Season 2. Lee had to ponder a great deal about how much guilt would burden Gi-hun’s heart as he was left with so many of his close friends’ deaths. “Especially his close friend Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan).”

Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man
In Season 2, In-ho chooses to follow in the footsteps of Oh Il-nam and enter the games as Player 001 so that he may, upon Gi-hun’s return to the games, teach him a lesson. Gi-hun has only met the Front Man with a mask over his face and has no inkling that In-ho, who goes by the name of Young-il during the games, is his superior. In-ho becomes friends with Gi-hun and saves him and his friends multiple times throughout the games until he fakes his death, then later takes up his role as the Front Man once again. Masked, In-ho kills Jung-bae in front of Gi-hun in the very last seconds of Season 2, quashing the rebellion.
Yim Si-wan as Myung-gi (Player 333)
Make Myung-gi of wholesale money all the time. An influencer in the cryptocurrency world, whose very decisions led to ruin for himself and his followers. Squid Game is his one way out of a dangerous financial hole.
“Well, Myung-gi is a case in point and an extreme one of how a sequence of bad choices—and that one spontaneous bad choice—can ruin someone for life,” Yim says. “Myung-gi doesn’t seem evil at heart. But you can see, chasing money led to a whole slew of irrevocable consequences.”
Kang Ha-neul as Dae-ho (Player 388)
Dae-ho is another Squid Game competed. While Gi-hun initially thinks of him as a friend, Dae-ho’s cowardice during the rebellion in Season 2 changed that. Even now Kang hopes that viewers will find themselves absorbed of this character.
Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho
Like Gi-hun, Detective Jun-ho is bent on destroying Squid Game forever. His desire had only grown in strength following the unexpected connection connecting him to the Front Man in Season 1; it continues into Season 3.
Park Gyu-young as No-eul
Upon first setting eyes on No-eul, one realizes that all she has ever done is to seek her child, from whom she was forcibly separated under the most desperate of circumstances. But there’s much more to this fallen soldier -whose name is Sunset in English than the viewer might imagine.
Park Sung-hoon as Hyun-ju (Player 120)
From the onset, she’ll risk all to undergo this vital medical procedure. Hyun-ju soon found camaraderie in fellow Squid Game participants such as Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) and Jun-hee (Jo Yuri), and she’ll guard them just like family.
Yang Dong-geun as Yong-sik (Player 007)
Yong-sik the compulsive gambler is drowning in debts. Upon entering Squid Game, he discovers that an unexpected loved one is also participating.
Kang Ae-sim as Geum-ja (Player 149)
Entering Squid Game with her willful matriarch for the purpose of saving her son Yong-sik, Geum-ja ends up making numerous other connections during the competition.
Jo Yuri as Jun-hee (Player 222)
Rather than just like any common human being who enrolls in the game in light of very high sacrifice, Jun-hee also joins the competition behind so many sacrifices.Unlike many, however, she isn’t the one to blame for her own hardships. Jun-hee simply trusted the wrong person. Now, it’s her survival in the Squid Game with a baby.

Lee David as Min-su (Player 125)
Not everybody can pull off being front and center, like the Front Man. Min-su may be soft-spoken and bashful, lacking in confidence to assert himself.His house got scammed, so he entered Squid Game.
Nam-gyu by Roh Jae-won(Player 124)

He is a rapper who created his own music video for “Gold Digger” song. He uses cruelty to impress those whom he considers strong, such as the rapper Thanos (Choi Seung-hyun) who was eliminated.

Jun Suk-ho as Woo-seok.
Upon the death of his erstwhile mentor in Season 2, Woo-seok commits himself to save Gi-hun and close the game. As a result, they become partners with Jun-ho.
Park Hee-soon as the Black Guard (Officer).
The officer discovered that the railroad killer would not go back on his word.
His past with No-eul will put a wrench into his plan.
