The series is expected to receive a large viewership as it is going to be released in the holiday season right around Christmas. The number of episodes in season 2 has not been declared yet. The series in 2021 followed the journey of survival of 456 players competing for a sum of money that could change their lives. Betrayals were made and blood was shed. Player 456, Gi-Hun after sacrificing all his friendships and decency becomes the winner of the game. He later spots the recruiter who recruited him in the game trying to recruit another man to participate. He calls a number right before he boards his flight and his future is left uncertain.
The sequel follows the story of player 456 three years after the events of season 1 where he gives his estate up and joins the game back with a resolution of finding out who is behind this vicious scheme and putting an end to it.

Squid Game season 2 is all set to make a “deadly” comeback with many more mind games, betrayals, and bloodshed.
