Squid Game Season 2 Cast, Who’s Returning & New Faces Revealed: Squid Game, a thriller sensation, is the first Korean show to reach no. 1 in the U.S. It became Netflix’s biggest series launch. Since Netflix has announced the second season of this brutal survival game. There is a lot of curiosity among U.S. fans about who would be staging a comeback. Netflix has finally shared a cast announcement video for season 2. Here are all who are stepping into this deadly arena this season. 

Who is in the cast for Squid Game Season 2?

Previous Squid Game Favorites Joining the Cast

Fans were certain about the return of the most favorite character, Seong Gi-hun aka Player 456. However, this video has also revealed some other old and new faces along with some pleasant surprises. 

Lee Jung-Jae as Seong Gi-hun

The main protagonist of Squid Game Season 1- Player 456,  Played by South Korean superstar Lee Jung-jae is returning for season 2. Fans are curious about how Gi-hun’s storyline will evolve after surviving the game. Fans are eager to know if he will seek revenge or redemption.  

Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man

The famous character of The Front Man is played by this well-known Korean and American film actor. The character of Hwang In-ho was behind all the brutality seen in the series. With his cop brother involved in the backstory of this deadly competition, fans can expect The Front Man to play a larger role in Season 2.

Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho

Hwang Jum-ho was last seen as shot by the Front Man and fell off a cliff. But Squid Game fans will be thrilled to know that  Hwang Jun-ho is back in the game to discover the truth.

The New Squid Game Cast joining the Fight

Netflix Tweeted a letter written by Director Hwang Dong-hyuk titled “Whole new round is coming ” and he also mentioned a new character- Cheol-su. Netflix shared a video to unveil Squid game season 2 casts. Actors Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun are seen pressing the green button to start the game. They seem to play interesting roles in the new season. 

Yim Si-wan

The famous K-pop star and member of the South Korean boy band ZEA’s entry to the show is creating a buzz on the internet. He is also recognized for his roles in the movies – The Attorney (2013), One Line (2017), and The Merciless (2017).

Kang Ha-neul

The charming face from TV series like Moon Lovers and also known from the movie The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure Park will be seen in season 2 

Park Gyu-young

Best known for her role as Yoon Ji-su in the Netflix series Sweet Home and Celebrity is also entering into this game. 

Yang Dong-geun

The veteran actor, rapper, and dancer, known for his role in Yaksha: Ruthless Operations and the TV series School is ready to enter the arena.

There are rumors of international stars’ cameos in season 2 after the success of Season 1. Director have also hinted at the possibility of international players for a fresh twist to this brutal competition. Although details are still a mystery, a few more names have been also announced for the cast.
