Nevis Triathlon Returns For Its 19th Edition

After a two-year pandemic induced break, the Nevis Triathlon returns on November 5, 2022 for its 19th edition.

Charlestown, Nevis – After a two-year pandemic induced break, the Nevis Triathlon returns on November 5, 2022 for its 19th edition. This year the event will occur at Oualie Beach, Nevis, on the beach and grounds of Oualie Beach Resort.

Greg Phillip, President of Nevis Multisport, the organization which organizes both the Nevis Triathlon, and the Nevis Marathon and Running Festival, said, “We are happy to present the Nevis Triathlon this year, and are looking forward to the future with plans and a vision to make it even bigger. We moved it to the Oualie Beach Resort just before the hiatus, because it is a spectacular location that fits into our future plans.”

The event starts and finishes at the beach of Oualie Beach Resort. There are two races. One is the Try-a-Tr, this is a triathlon for children and beginners, it includes a 100 meter swim, a 5 kilometer bike and a 2 kilometer run.

The swim is at Oualie beach and the bike and run take place between the Vance W. Amory International Airport and the Oualie Beach Resort.

The other race is the main event for more experienced triathletes, it entails a 500 meter swim, a 31 kilometer bike, and a 5 kilometer run. The swim is at Oualie Beach, and the bike circumnavigates the island of Nevis, while the run is an out and back course from Oualie Beach to Cottle Church.
