NEW YORK, NY (March 31, 2025) — Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder and President of the National Action Network (NAN), will bring together several candidates running for New York City Mayor to the NAN Convention on Thursday, April 3rd, to detail what policies they would take to improve the lives of Black and Brown citizens of America’s largest city. The forum represents NAN’s roots in the Big Apple, as well as the city’s role in influencing national policy on issues that include criminal justice reform, diversity, education, and economic opportunity.

NAN does not endorse candidates for office, but rather provides a platform to discuss how those in power will fight for its members. In New York City, Rev. Sharpton and NAN have been the leading voice for police accountability and criminal justice reform for 40 years. Since that time, Rev. Sharpton has become a leading voice for Black New Yorkers to those in City Hall.
