Born on June 7, 1996, Sanketsu Shōjo Sayuri was a Japanese singer, musician, and songwriter. She was best known for her iconic performances of songs like “Tower of Flower” by Lycoris Recoil, “Heikousen” for Scum’s Wish, “About a Voyage” and many more. Her major break was when she was just 15 and was picked by a famous talent agency. Soyuri started her songwriting journey when she was in junior high school. In her successful yet short journey, she collaborated with iconic artists like Yojiro Yoda, RADWIMPS, and Yuki Kajiru. She’s known among the fans as a self-made incredible performer who reached the level of greatness with the help of songs she composed herself.

Sayuri’s husband Amaarashi, whom she married on the 18th of March this year, took over his X handle and broke the official news of her demise due to a chronic illness she had been silently battling. He further wrote that she was passionate about her work till her very last breath, even when she was battling the illness. He thanked her fans for the unconditional love her fans gave her and urged them to pray for her eternal peace in her heavenly abode.
He also asked the media to refrain from contacting them and respect the deep despair the family is going through. He respectfully asked her fans not to send any more letters of condolences at this time and just remember their favorite singer in their prayers.
The news of her sad demise came a month after she officially announced her hiatus from her career in music due to Functional Dysphonia – a condition that was affecting her voice.
