The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Award ceremony took place on the 23rd of February this year. The ceremony awarded many actors and movies for their excellence in cinema. Around 130,000 members of SAG-AFTRA determined the winners of the SAG Award this year. Kristen Bell hosted the ceremony which was broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are two of the biggest names awarded. Chalamet was awarded for playing Bob Dylan in the movie “A Complete Unknown”. In his winning speech, the actor mentioned how his performance was a product of 5 years of hard work. On the other hand, Selena Gomez sounded so shocked over the win. “Conclave” won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture this year. The other nominations included “A Complete Unknown,” “Anora,” “Emilia Pérez,” and “Wicked.”

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
Demi Moore won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role this year. She was nominated for her role in the movie “The Substance.” Other nominations for the award included Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl) and Cynthia Erivo (Wicked). Karla Sofía Gascón (Emilia Pérez) and Mikey Madison (Anora) were also nominated.
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role
Timothée Chalamet won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role this year. He was nominated for his role in the movie “A Complete Unknown.” Other nominations included Adrien Brody (The Brutalist) and Daniel Craig (Queer). Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), as well as Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), were also nominated.

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role
Zoe Saldaña won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. She was awarded for her role in the movie “Emilia Pérez.” Other nominations: Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Jamie Lee Curtis (The Last Showgirl), Danielle Deadwyler (The Piano Lesson), and Ariana Grande (Wicked).

Colin Farrell won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series.
