In his much-anticipated book, Wallace-Wells brings into focus the impending food and water shortages, rising sea levels displacing tens of millions of people, and the real danger of much of the planet becoming inhospitable to life. He points to the role of the reigning economic and political structures in this crisis. And he shows that the responsibility to act and avoid catastrophe falls on a single generation.
