NYPD is using every resource they can to find the person who fired bullets in an illegal Bronx hot spot.

According to a spokesperson at the 48th Precinct, no arrests have been made, but police are still questioning witnesses.

Shamar Watt, a partygoer at the underground nightclub, was struck in the head when someone opened fire. Police said the motive for the shooting was a dispute. It was unclear whether the dispute involved Wyatt or someone else at the nightclub. According to Wyatt’s friends and family, he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The shooting occurred on May 9th on Third Ave. near E. 184th St. in Belmont about 3:45 a.m. Wyatt was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Wyatt’s brother told reporters, “It still doesn’t feel real. We are in disbelief, shock, sadness. It’s everything. I mean, we are from New York. Anything can happen.”

Anyone with information on the shooting should contact NYPD crime stoppers at (800) 577-8477.

The investigation remains ongoing.
