Dream Productions by Pixar is an animated short series that will be a spin-off of the original Inside Out franchise with all new characters and plots. The series features the voices of Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith. The release date for the spin-off mini-series of Inside Out has been declared to be the 11th of December 2024. Similar to other movies in the franchise, Dream Productions also takes place in Riley’s mind where a quirky studio is responsible for all her dreams at night. Taking place between the events of Inside and Inside Out 2, Riley’s memories need a little bit of extra processing as she is growing up. Hence, Joy along with the rest of the core emotions sends them to Dream Productions. The director of Dream Productions Paula Persimmon faces a nightmare herself as she tries creating the next big night dream along with a smug daydream director Xeni who is looking forward to stepping into the big leagues of night dreams. The series will deliver a look at the inner imagination of Riley’s mind hilariously. The series is of mock-documentary style and will explore the workings of a teenager’s mind and how imagination works. The franchise has always catered to the mental turmoils experienced by young adults as they venture toward adulthood. The previously released movie Inside Out addressed the issue of anxiety in teenagers.
